Drought & Plastic Destroys National Parks in Colombia

In this picture you can see a boat upside down in the Colombian National Flamingos park. This park is located in the northernmost department of Colombia. It is called Guajira. In the picture you can see that the boat that’s upside down is in a place that was once covered in water. Animals that are affected by the missing water are fish, shrimps and clams which have been reduced to very little because of this. The loss of the sea life also affects the number of the flamingos which is a migratory species most known for its pink color. Solution: we must work to protect the water of the region by making the rivers national property, this way big companies like El Cerrejon (largest open air coal mine in the world) won’t be able to take most of the water and in turn national parks will be full with life.
