In La  Guajira when we went on the trip we passed through a lot of lands and a lot of towns that didn’t have water. Also they didn’t have lakes or clean water that they can drink. This affects the environment because people need water for everything for drinking, ,taking a shower,etc.  People make part of the environment also. El Cerrejon is one of the major causes of the waste of water because they use a lot of water every day to clean up the dust of the mine and that water can be used to water plants, drinking, washing your clothes, etc. El Cerrejon took two rivers from which people and animals, and they used that river for mining purposes. A solution to this problem is that the mine gives back part of the water.
