Videography

During the first semester of school, first grade students worked for their Spanish class on a video project in which they summarize their life to their peers.

A newly established and creative idea was done by the Spanish teacher of first grade students in TCS in order to allow them to get to know there new pears better. The Spanish curriculum for the first bimester for 2017 has established a big project each student must do in which they summarize their life in a video. This way they not only practice their oral skills but also allows them to present these to their new classmates, and this way they get to know each other better. Student are allowed to let their creativity flow and present their life on the video however they want.

“In spanish class we always have to do an activity in which we have to present our lives and our family, with videos and photos, and also we talk about them and our lives] said Luciana Serani a six year old first grade student in 1A, who further on stated that they have just started presenting the projects and the “only two have presented.”

Students have not only had the opportunity to let their creativity role, and learn during the process of making this project but they have also managed to have fun during the process.

Luis Fernando another 1A TCS student before he stepped out to be interviewed they were at spanish class precisely presenting their project, and he said this class it was “my friends Lucas turn.” Afterwards when giving details about this video he stated, “lucas made a video riding bike, playing soccer, interacting with his family, and bothering his sister, it was really funny.”

But the teachers have to keep a educational basis for this, and the children are aware of this, and understand there are learning oral presentation skills and about your classmates it’s important too, so they have to take this seriously.

“In my project I present all my family, I show my house, my bedroom, what I like to do,” said Serani, who in fact added she went beyond that and prepared some “pictures of me and my family to show to the class, and some sentences to read.”
