Preparing for 2017 Binational Games

Preparing for the 2017 binational games, the girl’s volleyball coach, Anibal Betancur, started a training plan for both of the team’s training every day and having games almost every week.

Looking for a way to get in the podium the high school girl’s volleyball team started training daily looking to accomplish that goal.

“As a direct goal this year we have to get on the podium” Anibal Betancur girl’s volleyball coach said. This shows all the confidence the coach has on the team and Anibal also said “my expectations for the team are really high” showing all the expectations he had on the team.

Having games every week is really important since it gives experience to the players.”play games against teams that are superior” Anibal said, this shows that he is looking to improve the talent of the girls by making them play with teams that are way better that their team.

Even though he has really high expectations for the team he knows the difficulties of being the coach of a team. “It’s hard, sincerely it is difficult because well we know that social circles here are quite broad to find girls engaged is difficult but not so much just for the training but also for the competitions given that on weekends when we come to play games almost always there are difficulties with the parents.” Anibal said when he was asked what were the main difficulties of the process to binationals.

“We need to greatly improve the part of the character in each of the athletes” Anibal said, after sharing the results of the last games of the team because the character of each athlete plays a big role on every game especially on tough games since the pressure is really high.
