The Guajira is a wonderful place that is located in the north of Colombia, it is a multicultural place, in which many cultures live and many wondrous landscapes, it is a beautiful place with a very diverse ecosystem. But something horrible is happening to it, many tourists and even the own people that live there don’t care about their trash as we can see in the picture above. This is harming all the different species of animals, the trees, the sea and the landscape in general. This is incredibly bad for the environment because many animals like snakes and birds that are native to the Guajira can eat the incredible amounts of trash around the desert, this is the same for the animals at sea, they can swallow the plastic and die, if they don´t, a bird might try to eat it and die because of the plastic in the fish.
