4th grade project teaches them about Colombian culture

4th grade students learning more about Colombian culture with Spanish project.

In 4th grade they are finishing a Spanish project about the Colombian shield, what basically teachers said was that kids need to start learning where they came from and know the culture of their own country. This is a project that teaches students the wonderful qualities of Colombia. They need to draw a different shield for Colombia and color it and decorate it with good things from Colombia.

“ This is a project that we started one week ago and teaches us a lot of new things about Colombia,”  Geronimo Bernal, Grade 4C, said.

This project makes them research a lot and have homework. It teaches them a lot of new things about Colombia they didn’t know.

“ We need to research about Colombian qualities and then put them in the shield,” Bernal said.

This project teaches them work ethic because they don’t have time in school to work on it, the only time they have to work on this is on their houses.

“This project make us work a lot and have responsibility because the only time we have to work on this is in our houses,” Luciano Restrepo 4C student said.

This project open the minds of 4th grade students it teaches them to have a lot of creativity and make the shield how they want.

“ A lot of creativity for this project for we to open our mind,”  Restrepo said

Lots of students don’t do nothing at home and when we need to present the project they do a really poor shield and a really bad investigation because they left it to the last day.

“ We need to work a lot because some friends don’t do nothing and at the presentation they do really poorly, the most important thing of this project is the responsibility it teaches us,”  Pablo Avello 4B students said.
