According to Psyched Substances, a YouTuber with over 4.1M views, DMT, a drug with a history dating back over 5000 years, is not equal to any other drug in helping people connect with your inner self and experience a different reality. This is a very strange drug, but some scientists and doctors are trying to figure out how this can help in the future. The drug DMT is one of the oldest in the world but society and science are only beginning to discover its effects.

Hearing professional people about DMT, I could see that this drug can change the world of medicine. Dimethyltryptamine is a tryptamine that can be found in nature like in trees, animals or even in our body.In campus they are students that have also research about DMT and have seen that it can change your life. Medical News Today says, that DMT is one of the least use drugs, and it is described as a life-changing experience trip. However,DMT has not been proven to be good or bad to your body, but in some cases psychiatrist and rituals use it to cure people. What is missing to be discovered of the Dimethyltryptamine can have positive effects in the society.

We actually know some things about the DMT, like that we can overdose from it, that our body reacts to the drug and that is use for rituals in a drink call ayahuasca. To get overdose with this psychedelic drug it’s very hard and it can only happen when it is consumed orally, for about 20 cups of ayahuasca , or injected; but not smoked because you fall unconscious, this will make it really hard to overdose. All so combining it with other drugs can make it deadly.

Other things that scientist have found is that while you consume it, it can Increase your heart rate, Blood pressure, create chest pain, dilated pupils and dizziness, but as you can see none of this effects are actually really bad, but bad problems can happen when it is consume in a bad way or in a person with schizophrenia. Some case has been seen in Peru, for example when a Canadian tourist kill a britanic because he try to stab him, so this means that precautions have to be taken when is going to be consume. However thanks to the doctor Jordi Riba we could see that this is a drug that can help medicine and in some cases cure depression. These are some of the things that science has discovered about DMT in about 5,000 years of its existence.

DMT helps the spiritual retirements be more connected to yourself. This rituals have the purpose of cleaning your body; spiritual, physical and mentally, they do this with ayahuasca that is the combination of plants that have DMT. In programs like VICE you could see that people that have done this experience actually have changed their lives but some of them are not conscious that what they are taking is DMT. This would demonstrate that ayahuasca, a natural way to consume DMT, actually works for medicine.

DMT is one of the oldest drugs in the existence of the humans, because is part of our nature. Some doctors like Dr. Rick Strassman say that we have DMT in our brains and that we have that experience two times in a lifetime naturally, when we die and when we are born. This is are the predictions that scientist or doctors have, but what really matters is that in some cases around the world it actually have help the people for a lifetime. Scientists are trying to find the doubts of what actually DMT is, what it does to the body, and if it can actually be good to society.
