STUDENT ATTITUDES MAKE CAFETERIA EMPLOYEES UNCOMFORTABLE

Overextended cafeteria employees’ work day has increased over the last two years, due to the lack of citizenship in students’ behavior during break time. Tension has formed after the Cafeteria girls have expressed their displeasures.

Bibiana Cano, the administrator of the cafeteria, expressed how silverware has been missing lately. After extensive research, they have found that students are playing with the silverware and throwing them away all over the entire campus. When there is money or silverware missing after completing the daily inventory, employees have to pay the difference from their own salary.

“They are affecting the company in a negative way, but also themselves… The consciousness with the handling of silverware should increase in not only high school, but also middle school students,” stated Cano.

Cano went on to explain how the lack of citizenship has a negative impact in Servi Express as they not only lose inventory, but also the TCS community will start running out of silverware.

“The students throw away the silverware in the soccer courts, we have found silverware in the trash and over the four hundred meter track…” Cano continued.

Daily, students’ abusive use of silverware reduces cleanliness in the area.

“The process of disinfection is the first task for the staff in the cafeteria early in the morning,” explained Sandra Gomez, an employee from the TCS’ cafeteria.

At 3:30 P.M every day, after the disinfection process is done, the 34 employees of the cafeteria, walk around the entire school looking for missing silverware.

“The silverware found in the garbage has to be thrown away, but the one we find over the grass goes through a process of disinfection in order for it to be used again,” Cano explained, as she realized that the students responsible for this situation, are affecting everyone’s well-being in the cafeteria.
