Searching for a way to maximize and optimize the use of space in the Columbus School, administration came up with a new idea of making a two new buildings.

For October of this year, the school is planning to start the administration building. This project was made because of the school’s vision to grow in student amount and in employees.

“It’s called central building and located between art and middle school buildings. The building will have two floors, the first floor will be dedicated to administration and the second to academic related stuff.” Commented Elen Yepes

The school plans doing this to have the most comfortable space and maximize the work done by administration. It wants to have most of the offices close together to allow better connections between people for work and ease out processes.

“All the administration area which is 339 m^2, human management which takes away space to the coliseum and shopping area that is located in general services are going to move to the new building.” Mentioned Elen Yepes Admin Head

The school is moving this areas due to the space it occupies where they are. In a few years when the F block gets from elementary to middle school there has to be new rooms made for the incoming 22 students.

“The school has approximately five thousand million pesos available for restorations, projects and constructions. This new “central” building will cost about four thousand million pesos,” said Elen Yepes Admin Head.

Students often critique the school because we pay much money, yet it makes us buy books, implements for different subjects, they don’t know that the school has one source of income which is student enrollment,from here it pays all employees and construction stuff on campus.

“I believe that the new library in the human resources building will benefit everyone that uses it. This is because they are going to make it bigger, with different areas for many uses.” Lina Isaza commented

They will also make second building which is the Human Resources building, in here they school is going to build a new library which is expected to be larger with spaces for meetings, classes and reading so when whole classes go there they don’t disturb others.

“This school´s project with the new buildings is going to be a success we pretend to make it like a central meeting point for everyone in the school,” said Elen Yepes Admin Head.
