There is nothing like having a delicious, fresh and healthy Japanese meal prepared by the hand of well trained professionals. Many restaurants in Medellin accomplish this goal, but definitely, Sushi Market stands out. It is an international restaurant, mostly specialized in lunch and dinner Japanese food. It has five different franchises spread out through Medellin located in Zona 2, San Lucas, Del Este, City Plaza and laureles. Sushi market offers mostly rolls and sashimi but have other options like soup, salad, ceviches and temakis.

The great variety of options and delicious food is complemented by friendly waiters, that will be greeting you since you walk in. The service is ideal, and each plate has a waiting time of approximately ten minutes. It is a great option to have a fast, healthy and delicious meal. However, all this comes with a high price. When visiting Sushi Market I usually order an asian crunch entry (16.900) a x6 explotion roll (18.900) a x6 gori gori roll (17.500) and natural lemonade (6.900) which is a meal of 60.600 pesos for just one person. This type of price isn’t reasonable for spending it on daily basis, and a lot of people may not be able to afford it. So if you are looking for a cheap place to try Japanese food, Sushi Market is no the option, other places like Sushi Togo has more reasonable and affordable prices.

Mostly, I visit the Sushi Market San Lucas franchise, dishes are served nicely, on a white plate which exposes all it’s colors and make the rolls look more appetizing. Food is fresh, and made right away when ordered. They have all the way from sweet plates to really spicy.  Because of its great variety of options on the menu, the client has the opportunity to try something new in each of their visits. The menu also has vegetarian and vegan options being able to accomplish each of their clients needs. Also Sushi Market offers a meal for sharing with other two or three people, called the boat combo, other sushi restaurants like Sushi Train, don’t have this option within their menu.

Sushi market restaurants are all decorated really alike, with their red, blue  and white theme. They have a minimalistic decoration but at the same time really welcoming. It is definitely not the best decoration a restaurant can have, If this is a very important characteristic for you when visiting a restaurant, Ganso y Castor is a great option. Since all of Sushi Market franchises are located on a mall, it is very accessible, has different parking locations and possibility to arrive on public transportation.

ISushi Market is ideal if you are planning to have a quick, healthy and delicious meal, and if you don’t mind spending some money on it too. The quality of the food will not disappoint you, and it’s welcoming environment and friendly workers will make a better experience.
