New Vice Principal Confirmed

A new vice principal is coming in next school year, changing a lot of things for our senior year.

Vicky Jaramillo and Roger Arbabi are leaving their positions and a new team is coming, Juan David López and Darian George. The new VP George has come through a really tough process of selection and finally the school´s administration decided to choose him as VP. Darian comes from Colegio Bolivar in Cali and he has been a vice principal for 5 years. His current students love him, this speaks very well of him.  Among many candidates for vice principal, the school decide to choose him.

“He went through a very rigorous process, there were several candidates but after interviewing him, we find out he was the best candidate,” Roger Arbabi, HS principal, said.

Jaramillo and Arbabi leaving is making a new change in the administration, but they think that High School is going to be at really good hands.

“I think that Darian and Juan David are going to make a wonderful team,” Arbabi said.

Mr. Darian’s plan is to stay a while here at TCS, he liked the position they gave him and he plans to stay a minimum of 4 years.

“I plan to stay at The Columbus School as long as they will have me. My plan is to stay a minimum of four years. We will see what happens from there,” George, future VP at TCS, said.

Darian says that even though he was in Cali, the position TCS offered him was to good to let it pass.

“Although I love being in Cali, I have been training and preparing to work in administration for the past few years. Working at TCS was too good of an opportunity to pass up,” George said.

George is preparing for being the best Vice Principal and changing a lot of things here at TCS he has been working the entire year in a Masters in Educational Leadership.

“I have been teaching in Cali for two years and I am finishing a Masters in Educational Leadership the entire time,” Darian said.
