Maximiliano Restrepo on, “Theater Festival Slated for May”
In the article “Theater Festival Slated for May,” Cristobal Jaramillo and Simon Escobar write about how the TCS theater is going to be used in 2022, as well as the requirements for opening it back due to Covid-19 measures.
One thing that I learned from this article, is that TCS had the theater available for student extracurricular activities. I also learned that it was taken down because of covid, this year, it will be opened again, even though it has safety implications such as a reduction in the audience.
The plays are lacking students to recreate all of the characters, to solve this inconvenience, they are going to allow former students to be part of the play.
One thing that I admire from the people that wrote the article is their capability for interviewing, you interviewed many people, and you knew which questions to ask in order to get the right information.
The topic is appealing to a certain audience, not for everyone. There are some people that are not interested in theater, they might not be engaged reading the article. Nonetheless, it has really good information that can keep readers updated on what happens inside the school.
There are some questions that you could ask yourself next time; Why did the authors of the article choose to write about this topic? Why are there so few people interested in being part of the theater extracurricular?
I think the article actually gave lots of information about what is theater like in the TCS.
In conclusion, I believe that if you gave more information, then you could have more people interested in reading it. Overall, it was a very good article that taught me a lot about theater in the school, and about how they are implementing it this year.
Sincerely,
Maximiliano Restrepo
