Martina Jaramillo on, “It’s Limbo for the Boys and Girls Volleyball Team”

In the article “It’s Limbo for the Boys and Girls Volleyball Team” by Mateo Zarate and Matias Alzate, they write about the school’s volleyball team’s overwhelming concern for participating in this year’s binationals. The article explains how COVID has had a tremendous impact on the players’ ability to perform competitively. After not training for over a year during quarantine, most players have lost their athletic float, and are currently working on training hard to regain it.

As a part of the girls’ volleyball team, I completely understand what Daniela, our captain, and Nestor, our coach, have mentioned in this article. They both make strong points when suggesting that our team needs more time to strengthen up, both physically and mentally.

Moreover, it’s worth saying that both Matias and Mateo have done an outstanding job at writing this news piece. With well-structured, organized writing, they have made a clear point about the team’s concern, yet excitement for participating in the 2022 binationals.

Sincerely,

Martina Jaramillo
