Crucial sexual education conferences were given to 9th graders for a better understanding and orientation on the topic.

Ana Garcia, The TCS Counselor, planned sexual education conferences for the entire high school students; the 9th graders had their conference on Thursday. Each grade had a different focus on what they were talking about.

“The conference is different for everyone depending on the grade, for 9th [grade] is about auto care in your sexual life,” said William Perez.

The boys and the girls were separated into two different groups. The boys were located in the band class where the received the conference with William Perez. The girls in the gallery where they got the conference with Cristian Medina.

“It was important because many girls don’t have this in mind; they don’t cause they could HIV or even get pregnant,” Maria Guzman 9th grade student, said.

There will be more conferences throughout this year regarding sexual education and how to take care of your self for a healthy sexual life.

“Being informed is crucial for everyone in school boys and girls; you can have really big consequences if you don’t know what you are doing when having sexual intercourse,” Isabel Mora 9th grade student, said.
