Joint Crisis Axis Committee Nears Resolution

In JCC – Axis it is January 2nd 1943. In the Friday morning session the delegates continued to discuss new strategies and plans that would help them win WWII.

Axis delegates are planning to keep their game up after the successful bombing in Casablanca, where the Axis powers won the battle. They also sent troops to mobilize near the island of Great Britain. Then, Mexico joined the war on the Axis side and the Mexican government told the US they would not be attacked if they keep their threats and troops at bay.

According to Crisis, “Even though the building of the Japanese military base was completed, there has been a growing distrust of the Axis in Mexico due to what have been reported as crimes against humanity.”

A second crisis update was dated March 7, 1943. Axis delegates were informed of rumors that Mexican civilians were victims of crimes by their own Axis troops. This information caused stress among the Axis powers since the manipulation of media by the Allies would decrease their influence in Mexico.

“Whatever we’re gonna do we need to do it fast,” Laura Gaviria, delegate of Japan, said.

Axis was now desperate and had to make a move before the Allies. Delegates began to suggest new, confidencial ideas to gain more power, taking in account their resources and territory.

“I believe we should wait for the Crisis room to answer, before making decisions” Ana Medina, delegate from Spain, said.

The delegates approved several different motions and sent them to the Crisis room. This left the delegates waiting for their motions to be answered before considering any final decisions. The Crisis room director informed the Axis group ten minutes before the afternoon session ended, that no more notes could be sent to their committee now that they were going to concentrate on answering the notes already sent.

“If they achieve a movement, it will spread an Allied ideology to our territory,” Tomas Posada, delegate from Finland, said.
