Fourth grade passion project,  it’s a complete challenge without the help of the teachers, could students be capable of doing an admirable project.

The passion project is a project that a 3rd grade teacher called melly brought to the school because she saw it in another country. This project consist on a student researching and making a project of their passion and then presenting it to his class for them to know more about him. This project is do 3 time a year and it’s a challenge for the students because they don’t receive any help.

“ Passion projects are a way for students to study and research something they actually care about,” Liam Stanton, 4A Teacher, said

Students managing  their time, nobody is going to tell them anything, they need to plan their time to do their project. Some students that don’t manage good their time at the day of the presentation they make a really poor demonstration.

“ A goal is for students to organize their time, cause you will get a lot of kids who will wait until the last week and it shows when they do the presentation,” Stanton, said.

It can be challenging for students because they would not have any type of help by the teacher, they do whatever they consider good, if they want to check something it need to be with their parents because teachers wouldnt help them.

“ However the teachers in 4th grade we don’t really give much directions we let the kids just do whatever they want,” Stanton, said.

School trying to change old style of assignments or worksheets. School dont want the style that is of homework and that they want students for they to show their abilities in their passions.

“ The school is trying to move away from the old homework style where you give a worksheet or an assignment, what will like is for kids taking the tools from school and applying them in this types of projects,” Stanton, said.

Really great project because when it comes to presentations there are a lot of interesting different topics. Some students do it of games, sports, soccer teams, animals etc a lot of different topics.

“ We are really excited, i have some kids that choose, tri novel, syrian refugees, animals, sports, favorite soccer teams a lot of interest stuff! We hope all students make a really good job,”
