There are quick bites for the students and fine dining for the teachers. So it varies largely. Still, certain things unite all choices: a good environment and great food, accompanied by good times after a tiring day.
While some prefer a quick bite on their way home, others find it more enjoyable to sit down with some friends or company and enjoy an elaborate meal. The variety of eateries around TCS responds to all demands, from fast-food restaurants to fine dining.
After school, many students enjoy comfortable places that serve comfort food. Be it salty, sweet, or filling; these quick foods are their best option to satisfy their hunger before heading home or out with friends.
“I like to go for French fries at Firehouse, it has the best french fries and they sometimes stream football games of my favorite local teams,” Pedro Abad, senior, said.
In addition to the popular fast-food joints, there are little-known restaurants that some students have found out about that are worth visiting. These hidden eating places encompass some unique tastes and cozy dining experiences that many students might not know.
“I know one restaurant in Le Monte that is named Catalán. It’s mainly meat, and it’s delicious,” Abad said.
While students might be in the mood for comfort food, teachers, with their diverse appetites, will have what they like. After a grueling day at school, many teachers would like to wind down at a restaurant with good food and a pleasant atmosphere where they can enjoy a good time with friends or family.
“Near school, my favorite restaurant is Treinta y Tres Y Ocho. That’s my cousin’s restaurant, and I love it. The restaurant stands out for its relaxed atmosphere, varied music selection, and unique theme centered around whiskey,” Camilo Hoyos, Teacher at TCS, said.
Teachers also appreciate dining settings that combine elegance and relaxation, after work, this would make a fine experience. If they do not look for a place to have a quick bite before heading back to their dwellings, maybe they are looking for a place to celebrate. Teachers have their favorite spots that serve good food and maintain a great ambiance.
“I really like Mexican fusion. It’s very elegant, but also kind of chill. The music is like electronic music, but very soft and chill,” Hoyos said..
