Violent Video Games Lead to Violence

Watching violent movies and playing video games were there’s shooting affect your way of acting and you might not even notice it.

Video games are not the only thing that can have an effect on your behaviour, it doesn’t matter what you do, but that you do it consistently, this will make you get used to it. For example, if you are respectful all the time, you will get used to it and will do it without knowing.

In a moderate way, playing video games appropriate to your age, may be enjoyable and it’s healthy to your brain. Now that some of this games promote learning, problem solving, and help with the development of fine motor skills and coordination.When kids play violent video games all day, they don’t learn to understand the consequences of the real world. Which will affect their way of seeing and responding to certain things.

“Young adults also show physiological desensitisation, as measured by less of an increase in heart rate and skin conductance, to scenes of real life violence.” Said psychologist Virginia Turki. Playing this games in excess does not only affect children, but also adults and any person  can change the way they act in front of a violent situation in real life, due to that they are used to act violently while playing this games, because that is what they are all about, violence.

Even Though there are no studies that totally prove this, most of the Criminal attempting or random shootings going on in the U.S are related with video-games.

To add to all of this, in the society we live in something similar happens,but with TV series. Knowing the past of Colombia, lots of young people that  want to know how it was back in the day, so they watch Escobar series and other similar stories. Sometimes they see this people as idols and try to be like them in society, not knowing the real truth of how terrific was that time. Getting inside a character and using it all day can make you try to imitate it and act the way it acts in the movie or game, which can lead to aggressive or violent behaviour in real life.
