Daniel Villa on ‘Being a Senior Costs Big Bucks’
Dear Nicolás Escobar,
In your article “Being a Senior Costs Big Bucks,” you write about the cost of being a 12th grader at our school, involving all the activities seniors participate in. One of the things that I learned from this article is the big amount of money that the senior trips cost, in comparison to previous trips that I have been on as a student. One thing that I admire from your writing is that you respect both sides of the argument: those who think that the costs are fair according to what seniors receive, and the other ones that think that prices are inflated. I consider that this topic is very appealing to the audience because being senior is a moment that every student in this school is excited about. It is the last year in school, and you need to live happily and emotionally. I would like to learn about the opinion of parents in this situation. Do they agree that the prices are fair because it is the last year? Or maybe they also think that prices are exaggerated?
In conclusion, it is a very interesting article where I had the opportunity of learning about a curious topic that I didn’t know about. As a 10th grader, I need to know this information in order to prepare my pockets for the expensive senior year.
Sincerely,
Daniel Villa
