High School Library, A Great Resource
With a quest of providing great resources for academic growth, The Columbus School purchased a set of databases which are more than qualified for scholarly purposes.
Connie Gonzalez, the head of The Columbus School Upper Library, is currently trying for the students to use the library resources such as Ebscohost, Britannica, and Jstor. By using them, students could complement their thoughts with trusty and scholarly articles.
“The school acquired several databases, according to their interest. Obviously they are great because they upboard every type of school level. Connie is in charge of teaching students from 6th to 12th grades to use these databases,” Lina Isaza, High School Library Assistant, said.
It is a right for anyone to access good information to create their own opinions, their own arguments, and to cite correct and accurate information.
“I want people to know about this. They have the right to use these and are available to any who want to use them,” Gonzalez said.
The school pays money for students to use these, they are maybe one of the easiest and better ways to present an outstanding article or even create a huge opinion.
“These can help you in any circumstance, simply you will not present your ideas with a superficial amount of information, any article will give you a reliable source,” Gonzalez said.
Students are completely equipped to create good and accurate opinions and have no excuse for academically low arguments. How to look for information using these databases is pretty easy according to Lina’s explanation.
“You can find these resources easily on schoology,” Isaza said.
To access these is quite simple, login to Schoology, on the page for The Columbus School. In the top center of the screen click on the “Resources” button, then Click on “Group.” After this, on the left side of your screen, click “The Columbus School.” Finally, in the center of your screen, click on “Library Resources,” there is where you will find all the databases available.
“If you have any trouble, you can always come and talk to us,” Gonzalez said.
All students can be well prepared in class, but if you want to excel and improve your grades, you will have to look further and these searchers are the correct path for you.
“Want to ace an exam or create a great essay, use the resources the school provides you,” Gonzalez said.
