Nature, Friends and School All Together
One of the strategies Campos de Agua uses to grow the trees that aren’t supposed to receive sun, is to create caves. In this photo, two spiders lay eggs inside the seeds looking for underground burrows. Spiders lay their eggs in underground caves for several reasons, primarily around providing a safe and suitable environment for the developing eggs. “I’m really scared of spiders but after this tour, I saw how they contribute to our biodiversity,” Martina Jaramillo, grade 11, said.
Norita and Carlos are the owners of the Reserva Natural Cantos de Agua located in El Retiro.
The greenhouse contains all types of seeds, from hot and cold weather, but they also maintain in the bottles types of animals and seeds for future planting.
