A few weeks ago, after the CEMUN the executive decision was made to remove Samuel Vieira from his position as vice-president and ninth grader, Camila Ceballos happily took his place.

After the SOCHUM committee from COSMUN was left with a vacancy this ninth grader was called up to the plate. With Maria Paula Jimenez and the secretariat as her mentors Ceballos experience has been a good one taking into account the shoes she was expected to fill.

“With the help of my president and the secretaries, my experience in COSMUN has been completely gratifying. My president, Maria Paula Jimenez, has helped in every step of the way. She has been genuinely kind to me, and has explained  to me everything I need to know in order to be prepared for the directive chair. On the other hand, the secretaries have been responsible and organized with all their work. Their dedication to the event and those participating in it, has made my experience truly remarkable,” said Ceballos.

Clearly Federico Caro saw something in Ceballos that was missing in Vieira, respect and responsibility. Nethertheless Caro claims that Vieira has potential but he needs clean up his act so that this trend of getting impeached every COSMUN stops and he can finally reach the position of President or Vice-President which many other like Ceballos and Caro have fulfilled.

“He truly has a lot of potential; he just made a dumb mistake. I hope he gets better and I am sure next year if he is a good student without any more dumb mistakes he will be a great president, not even vice-president because I am sure he has a lot of potential and we have chosen him two years in a row because we see something in him. Hes just let us down both times but I’m sure he will recapacitate and evaluate everything he is doing because I am sure next year he will be a great president,” Commented Caro on Vieira.

This shows not only that Vieira has potential but that Caro has put a great amount of trust in Ceballos to be able to fill in such big shoes as Vieiras. Although she was recruited in a hard time she has done her job brilliantly and this is why she was the right person for the job all along as shown by her following statement.

“Ever since I joined the directive chair, I’ve been ecstatic. It has all been unreal, because there’s so much people and work behind COSMUN. Everyone has been cooperative, and has made me feel part of a working team. I’ve learned more than I thought I would, and now feel prepared and enthusiastic about the outcome of it all,” said Ceballos.
