The Age of Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs have been taught and learn throughout millions of years, an in elementary school there is no doubt they are learning their past. 3rd grade is the lucky school year that gets to see and review the amusing life of dinosaurs.

The 3rd graders are going to contribute to an awesome new project based on Dinosaurs. This outstanding project consists of researching and learning all about the dinosaurs, also how did they extinct. All 3rd-grade teachers had a great idea to carve a hole in the ground and pretend to discover new dinosaurs fossils with their students.

“We started learning about the T-rex, Velociraptor, and Triceratops, also Carnivores including Herbivores, ” said Pedro Botero 3rd Grade Student.

During this couple of months, we can notice that the students have increased more interest in this topic since it brings a lot of joy to young kids especially 3rd graders.

“Research was very important for the project we needed to investigate which Dinosaurs extinct from a meteorite or volcano explosion,” said Tomas Orsini 3rd grade student.

With this, many of the third graders’ perspectives about this topic proceed to continue on seeing it with a very positive matter where they can have more fun and a better competition.

“When my teacher showed my class the big white bones in a hole near high school, we were very excited and nervous, since we didn’t know if they were real,” said Sara Hurtado 3rd grade student.

TCS in Medellin, Colombia has an enormous campus all around the school, and from what we heard from Hurtado, teachers from 3rd grade have used it for a great purpose and matter.

“When I get older I still want to continue doing this kind of projects with my friends in middle school,” said Botero.

Not only Botero but also the majority of the kids in 3rd grade were really amazed at how the project turns out and would love to participate in something similar in the nearest future.

“If you are one of those students that like to do cool and nice experiments, this is one you can’t miss it,” said Amelia Morales 3rd grade student.

This project doesn’t only apply to being fun, it really depends on a lot of research and investigation to end up with good results.

“I would love to do another amazing project after Christmas Break,” said Morales.
