K4 Students Celebrate Halloween

K4 students at The Columbus School enjoyed different Halloween activities celebrated on Friday 27.

Students appreciated different arrangements that school had planned for them such as inflatables, eating tents and variation of exercises that teachers planned.

“K4 students will have inflatables, a `chiquiteca´, movies, popcorn, obleas, strawberries with chocolate..We have lots of activities planned for them, surely they will love them” Liliana Callejas, the K4F teacher, said.

The students don’t expect a big celebration or a mayor event at the school, but the department surpasses expectations. Scholars come to school wearing their costumes but they don’t know the activities that the staff has planned for them.

“When I was in K4, I thought it was really cool, like I never knew there was a halloween celebration in my school and that day I knew. So I imagined that there was only inflatables but in that day there was much more, we can go to the park and so many things” Pedro Uribe, first grade student, said.

Elementary students love the event but for K4 students it will be the first time celebrating at campus. These students don’t have any assumptions on the occurrence.

“Mmmm,I don’t know what to expect but I am excited..We are going on inflatables, I am excited” Tomas Uribe, K4E student, said.

Teachers prepare students for the upcoming event by giving scholars themed activities through the following month of October.

“We have done several of activities since October started, for example we decorated the classroom with halloween and students have been painting ” Callejas, said.

Staff and school crew have everything coordinated for the students to enjoy their best at halloween, they organized and planned all undergraduates day.

“In the morning in class the students take the snack  and before the time space of 10 am; Guillermo the photographer comes to take them photos. After Guillermo takes their pictures, the kids perform a kind of a mini parade” Callejas, said.

The celebration for K4 students is a fresh celebration and also its surprising for them. Combining classroom, outdoor and painting activities its enjoyable for all students.

“Halloween it’s a spooky event! And so will I be!” Tomas Urbe, said.
