Soccer it’s being dethroned in the elementary school playground by the new popular game called Four Square, consists of 4 players in 4 different squares and the objective are to eliminate the other players from their squares, ending up with achieving the highest rank.

Soccer has been the most popular game since anyone can remember, but the fact that there is a new competition on its way we can see soccer lowering of rank. 3rd graders express their experience and involvement with this new game called Four Square.

“Normally I just play hide and seek or soccer but when some friends of mine introduce me to Foursquare I have just played it since,” said Sebastian Bandura 3rd Grade Student.

During this couple of months, we can notice that FourSquare has increased more and more, it brings a lot of joy to young kids especially 3rd graders.

“I personally think soccer it is still the most popular game right now but I feel that probably in the future FourSquare would totally be the trend,” Amelia Pardo 3rd grade student.

With this, many of the third graders’ perspectives about this game proceed to continue on seeing it with a very positive matter where they can have more fun and a better competition.

“I’m in love with this game, not only because it’s really sporty or you can play it with your friends but since it’s the only game that boys and girls together and we can really connect with each other,” Alicia Velez 3rd grade student.

TCS is a mixed sex school in Medellin, Colombia, and from what we heard from Velez this game is the only one that provides boys and girls from the same age also year play together without any problem whatsoever.

“When I get older I still want to continue playing Four Square with my friends, I think that this game could even be played in middle school,” said Pardo.

Not only Pardo but also the majority of the kids in 3rd grade were really amazed at how the game turns out and would love to play it in the nearest future.

“If you are one of those girls or boys that like to be active, that is one of your games since you can really get skinny from the lack of exercise you do while playing it,” said Velez.

This game doesn’t only apply on being fun, it really depends on a lot of stretching and strategy to eliminate your opponent. This shows it is a very athletic game to play.

“I would love to play similar games such as Foursquare in the future,” said Velez.
