Rising TCS soccer Players Get Exposure in Bogota

Exposure in the BOGOTA CUP for rising soccer players included three TCS students, Daniel Felipe Guarin, Federico Pelaez, and Samuel Susaeta this past month in the capital.

On October 6th the prestigious ABC soccer team players, Guarin and Pelaez, went to the prestigious “Bogota Cup”, traveling all around to famous team headquarters. This included well-known teams like: Millonarios, Deportivo Santa Fe, and Fortaleza F.C, and they even managed to stay undefeated throughout the whole tournament. After months of training, Pelaez and Guarin where given a spot in the summoned team for the tournament. Out 50 players in the ABC team institution, they were elected inside the 20 that would have traveled for the title.  

“After this tournament, I think I can play in other better teams like national or envigado because when I played, I showed that I was capable of playing with this type of teams.” Federico Pelaez, 9th grade student, said.

Exposure in the Bogota cup gives an idea of where the persons playing level is currently in. In the “Bogota Cup”, the players are given a serious look in the sense of lurking for future signing in even bigger teams.

“TCS soccer team is not taken too seriously because the competition is pretty easy. People leave to teams outside the school because it is a step closer to become professional.” Danie Felipe Guarin, 11th grade student, said.

Teams such as Millonarios, Deportivo Santa Fe, and Fortaleza F.C, expect much more from its players when they are performing, so they can’t afford making mistakes at any moment as they could in the school team.

“You always have to play your best game in every training session.” Guarin, 11th grade student, said.

These three students have build their soccer career for years and with this event they finally got an opportunity to show everything they have been dedicating to soccer their entire life.

“For me, that was the best choice I could’ve made for my soccer career.” Samuel Susaeta, 11th grade student, said.
