Middle School Girls Begin Binationals with 2 Wins

The TCS Middle School Girls Soccer team began this year’s Binational Games yesterday in Barranquilla with 2 convincing wins. The games continue through March 25.

The TCS girls dominated both games defeating Collegio Jorge Washington 4-0 and Colegio Albania 6-0. Today’s matches include TCS going for another win against the hosts, Colegio Karl Parish. The tournament involves teams from more than 8 Colegios all over Colombia.

The team is hoping to improve their performance from last year where they lost in the semi-finals, but finished with the 3rd place trophy. The Girls Soccer is again strong this year. Their main goal is to be champions of the tournament but also to contribute so that the school wins the sportsmanship trophy. They have prepared very hard to bring the trophy back home, and maintain the good image they have gained across the years.

“Our objectives are to have a strong teamwork, because the sixth graders were still scared of playing with eighth graders, then we worked on ball control, we trained before and after school to be the best prepared we could be for the tournament,” Elisa Jaramillo, Middle School’s Girls Soccer Coach, said.
