70 Year Reunion Party Takes Generations Back in Time

The year of 1967 reunite after 50 years as all generations of The Columbus School come together at the 70 year reunion party to rekindle the past links .

After 50 years there is many stories to catch up on for the generation of the year 67. Saturday, October 21st was a night was filled with excitements, laughs, and even tiers of joy not just for this generation, but for all.

“I feel great pride of being part of the school a school that creates exceptional individuals and I feel proud of being and being surrounded by them” said Patricia, 1967 graduate.

Patricia and her generation have always felt a connection with the school. They feel the experiences the school gave them have helped them progress in life. They have an intense gratitude towards the school and what it means to be part of the alumni community. 

“The school and the teachers, which I am extremely grateful to,  gave me the structure that I needed to become the person I am today the love for learning, and values as as individual,” said Maria Eugenia, 1967 graduate.  

Maria Eugenia, who lives in the U.S, came to celebrate not just her 50 year reunion but the reunion of all the generations. After so many years she only has words of gratitude and great memories towards the schools, and the people that impacted her life at the time.

“When we go on vacation we feel comfortable anywhere we go, and I believe the school gave us this ability to relate to all cultures,” said Maria Eugenia. 

As alumni they now exprese the importance of being so culturally open and how the school gave them this ability of being a citizen of the world. Maria Eugenia who now live in the U.S expreses how she know feels that anywhere she goes in some way or another she belongs. After all the school teaches us a universal language that now or in the near future we learn to appreciate.

“We fill very excited to be celebrating 50 years of graduation, and that many that don’t live in Colombia have made the effort to assist,” Said Patricia, 1967 graduate.

Patricia explains to us how her generation see each other as much more than class mates they are a family. After 50 years and according to her more than 10 reunions they now the importance of keeping the bonds. Being able to celebrate 50 years and being one of the eldest generations its definitely something they are extremely appreciative to celebrate with each each-other.

“We fill affection and so much love for the school”, said Patricia,1967 graduate.
