3 a.m, you’re drunk, hungry, exhausted. Where to go? Not many places are open 24 hours in Medellin; however, Burger King in Zona Dos Sur mall is. Burger King is a presentable place to go through drunken and have decent fast food. Burger King’s location makes it really easy to access since it is located in the middle of El Poblado and it serves as a rendezvous point for late owls. Whether it’s their nuggets or their burgers you can count on fast service and presentable dishes. 

24 hour Burger King is located in Zona Dos Sur mall a place right next to La inferior and beneath El Tesoro Mall. It is an easy access place for everybody living in El Poblado. Being located in a mall gives it easy entry to abundant parking spaces, one of the things you wouldn’t want to worry about late at night. Their food place is surrounded with parking lots, however, if they become occupied there are two more underground floors of parking spaces with 24-hour surveillance. In contrast with their competition 24 hour Mc Donalds, located in Avenida del Poblado and Donde Juancho, located in El Poblado neither of this fast food restaurant count with sufficient parking slots. McDonald’s is located in a lone space occupied only by them where there are just enough parking spaces for their customers and Donde Juancho in El Poblado has no parking lots. “I take a lot of care of my car and late at night I prefer going to Burger King since there are many safe parking spaces where I know that nothing will happen to my car,” Pedro Pablo Uribe, The Columbus School student, said. It is important to mention how dangerous it can be to leave your car stranded anyplace in Medellin, making the ride worth for those who live far away from 24 hour Burger king.

As in any fast food restaurant, Burger King 24 hours service isn’t the best, however, this type of restaurants have a sole purpose of taking care of yourself. What stands out of Burger King is their efficiency to deliver products as quickly as possible. They have two cash registers; one always functioning and the other one gets enabled when the restaurant becomes full. In comparison with McDonald’s in Avenida del Poblado, you have to wait a long time to order and then, even more, to receive your order since it can get really crowdy on Fridays nights. Their main problem is their insufficient staff for their high demand on Friday nights. In Burger King you never have to worry availability of tables because they count with two floors of space with clean tables. The sole purpose of attending a fast food restaurant is getting fast food not having to wait in a tedious line or for an available table.

Food quality in Burger King is as expected, decent grilled burgers or crispy fried nuggets. Flavor is not a priority when hunger dominates you and their products are for sure an ok choice. In opposition with Donde Juancho where hygiene isn’t the best and they count with a small variety of choices; just some types of hot dogs. By far Burger king is a place you can go with many people where everybody will feel satisfied with the menu options.

Overall, 24 hours Burger King located in Zona Dos Sur is the best place in El Poblado to go eat after a long night out. Their safe parking spaces, decent food, and fast attention make it way superior to 24 hours McDonald’s and Donde Juancho hot dogs.
