Cine Colombia: A Cinema that Outranks the Rest

Going to the movies is without doubt a common popular plan for all ages, and many don’t realize the elevated costs they pay for it. As a person who likes to stay updated with the newest movies released, I can tell you Cine Colombia in Vizcaya is by far the best cinema in Medellín.

Prices are always an important factor when deciding where to go to the movies, or even if to go at all. Ticket prices at Cine Colombia in Vizcaya mall are affordable and reasonable throughout the week, and even have half-price promotions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Prices at each cinema vary depending on a movie’s daily demand. Cine Colombia’s ticket prices range from 3,000 pesos for the cheapest to 12,500 pesos for the most expensive ticket. At Cinemark, another popular cinema in Medellín and their direct competitor, prices range from 6,750 pesos to 39,500 pesos on the weekends. Cinemark’s high costs include a 3D Premier theatre function, yet the price is still ridiculous for a single movie ticket. Cine Colombia makes going to the movies affordable, constantly attracting customers to their facility.

They offer the most recent movies released each season, and leave them available enough time for customers to see them all. They also offer a “Cineco Alternativo” program, which includes films on opera, ballet, theatre, museums, expositions, and other arts. Even though Cinemark presents the most recent movies as well, they take them off billboards way faster, making customers miss out on many movies.

Their extensive menu in theatre includes not only popcorn, but gelato, sweets and candy, desserts, hot dogs, sandwiches, nachos, sodas and even sushi. Cine Colombia offers different combos which include salty foods and drinks, and sweet popcorn here is the best. If you are late for a movie and have not eaten yet, you’ll find a great menu of salty foods to choose from. One of the combos in Vizcaya includes 1 Medium size popcorn (120 g), 2 Medium sodas (960 mL each), and 2 hot dogs for 33,100 pesos. Cinemark offers similar combos, yet they’re more expensive, and popcorn here is sometimes served cold or simply doesn’t taste as good. A similar combo Cinemark offers includes 1 Medium size popcorn (160 g), 2 Medium sodas (532 mL each), 2 hot dogs for 54,300 pesos. The combos are almost the same, yet the price difference is  21,200 pesos; a notable price range for something that offers the same products.

Vizcaya Mall is located on calle 10 in Medellín, and even though it is an area surrounded by traffic, the excellent quality of Cine Colombia makes it worth it. Their main parking lot entrance has elevators that lead to the cinema floor directly, and there are always parking lots available here. Cinemark is located in el Tesoro; without doubt the best mall in Medellín, yet their lack of available parking lots forces customers to walk long distances to get to the cinema. Medellín has traffic in almost every zone during rush hours. If you are in a hurry, you’ll want a nearby parking lots to the cinema elevators to arrive on time.

Vizcaya theatres are fine, their ambiance is just right for a movie. Seats are comfortable and the screens have an amazing quality. They offer both movies in 2D and 3D, and recently remodeled some of their theatres to have wider seating rows and a better look of the screen. Cine Colombia might not have a fancy theatre with extremely comfortable, neat and wide reclining chairs like the Premier Room in El Tesoro, but the current ones are just fine. Cinemark also has a D-box room with movie interactive chairs, yet their normal theaters are just as good and comfortable as the ones in Vizcaya. These have a perfect ambience for watching movies and are promising for people who visit their commodities.

Cine Colombia in Vizcaya is the best place to go to the movies in Medellín. I would give it a 5 out of 5, thanks to their products quality and excellent prices that are worth every aspect of frequenting this place.
